R.I. World Understanding Day

On Thursday, 23rd February 2006, the Rotary Clubs of Singapore celebrate the R.I. World Understanding Day with a dinner at The Legend of Fort Canning. The GOH will be Mr. Chan Soo Sen, Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Trade and Industry. All clubs are expected to take at least one table (for 10 persons) at a cost per ticket of $ 50.00. You can bring your Ann and guests.

District Assembly 2006

On Saturday, 1st and Sunday, 2nd of April, 2006 takes place the District Assembly at the Orchid Copthorne Hotel, here in Singapore. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Rotary and meet with fellow-rotarians from other clubs in the district. For Hon Secretary Keith and myself attendance is mandatory, but there are various training sessions with regard to all aspects of running a successful club and all office bearers would benefit from attending. I think in particular of PN Harris and Rtns Lord John, Fabio and Joerg, but it is of course not restricted to them. Please let me know, if you can attend. Further information will be made available shortly. Just reserve these dates.

Website updates and a happy new year

Dear fellow Rotarians,
may a prosperous and happy new year 2006 arrive for all of us. This year we will make our club's activity and communications more visible to the general public. To achieve that our website will serve as the club's weblog.
I'm confident the leap into this new technology will benefit the clubs purpose.
