ROTARY CLUB OF TANGLIN SINGAPORE

District 3310 encompasses clubs in Singapore, Johor, Malacca, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and Labuan. There are 65 clubs in District 3310 and a total of c.2000 members.

The Rotary Club of Tanglin (RCT) Singapore is one of the clubs within the District 3310.

RCT was chartered on 19^th April 1984 with six Charter members from the RC of Singapore West. PP Kenny is the sole Charter member remaining in the RC of Tanglin today.

RCT currently has 25 members. We are seeking younger members to join us.

We meet weekly on Monday evenings, with most meetings having a speaker, internal or external, to speak on a wide variety of topics e.g. social service, economy, finance, the arts, and health .

In line with Rotary International’s main objective of service, RCT has put in place ‘avenues of service’ each headed by a director, namely:

1. Club service
   • This looks after the welfare of the club members and the general administration of the club
   • This looks after the service projects we do in the community in Singapore e.g. delivering meals to the elderly living in 1-room or 2-room HDB flats; organizing events to raise funds for specific charities.
   • This looks after the promotion of each member’s vocation as an avenue to serve others and the maintenance of high ethical standards in our respective vocation.
   • This looks after our projects outside Singapore and in collaboration with our sister club in another country. RCT currently has one sister club in Gombak KL Malaysia and one in Makati South in the Phillipines.
   • This looks after the welfare and service projects of Interact Clubs (members are from 14 to 18 years old) and Rotaract Clubs (members are upto 30 years old)
